Our sweet little Taylor was in the hospital for 5 days recently. She is home now safe and sound, but she gave us a bit of a scare. We are very blessed to have so many friends who prayed for her. Here is her story. She was not eating and seemed pretty sick before we left for my sister Stephanie's wedding/family vacation, but she seemed to do better right before it was time to go. She seemed okay the entire time we were on vacation. However the Saturday we drove back home she had a bad fever, was vomiting and was just miserable. She stopped eating and just got worse and worse by Sunday, with her fever getting up to 106. Jake took her into the ER and they did a bunch of tests on her to find out what she had. Turns out she had Human metapneumovirus (hMPV). It causes lower and upper respiratory tract infections in people of all ages. Like RSV, it is seasonal. It is second to RSV for causing respiratory illnesses like pneumonia. Respiratory illnesses most often occur in young children or older adults. She developed a really bad case of bronchiolitis. Their is no treatment for this virus, but they did put her on oxygen, and IV fluids, and i think a few other things. I never got to see her till she was getting better, because I was sick myself. She was such a trooper and is doing great now. She is eating great and back to her happy self. Smiles for everyone!!!

We just got family pictures taken. We had a coupon for an amazing deal at this place which is usually really expensive. Jake and I look kind of weird, but the kids look good...that's all that matters. Try again in a few years to get us all looking good.

Cameron loves holding Taylor! You can tell how much they love each other. He kisses her non-stop and talks to her in a sweet voice. She smiles whenever he does!!!

Taylor is not as long as Cameron has been so far :) We shall see how she grows! She has lots of cute rolls though. The best cheeks also.
I can't believe Taylor is 2 months old! She is such a miracle in our lives. We love her so much. She loves people and being where the action is. She gets sad when she is alone. She still spits up but it doesn't seem to bother her anymore and it is very little :) She sleeps great now. She has lots of gas....i have to burp her tons. She is just the best!!!!!

We had a great thanksgiving with Jake's family; especially since we found out what was wrong with Taylor. Cameron is growing like a weed still. Taylor is growing also and is the sweetest.

The Taylor saga continues. I have Taylor on medication for her spit up and it was helping a little. She however started getting worse again. She would seem like she was hungry and then after eating for a little pull away screaming in pain. It was so sad to see. We were getting worried because was also spitting up like crazy (8-10 times each feeding) and soaking entire blankets (we had burp blankets, not cloths). She was just sad all the time and hardly slept. She was unconsolable. I was crying one day and praying like crazy and I had some inspiration. I called Jake's mom and asked her to buy some soy formula for me. She did and the first bottle I gave her she kept down. I took her to an allergist and it was confirmed she has an intense milk allergy. (Before i put her on soy i was cutting out milk, cheese, yogert, and ice cream only). She has been on soy formula ever since and is the happiest baby in the world. She hardly spits up and smiles all the time. We are so happy... for us and her! She is seriously the best baby and we can't stop smiling. We felt bad it took us so long to figure out, but we are so happy we did finally. Jake had the same allergy as a baby and that's what clued me in to see if this was her problem. She just wants to be like her dad :) More pictures to come of our HAPPY baby.

We went to Cabella's for Cameron's birthday. Low key with a newborn. He was in heaven though. Steph was in town to do more wedding preparations, so that made his birthday even better!!!

Our little girl is 6 WEEKS OLD! I can't believe how fast it has gone already. Our little girl tricked us for the first two weeks of her life, sleeping and being peaceful. She then decided to never stop screaming for awhile. We have been in survival mode. Taylor is the spit up queen and very fussy. She spits up at least 5 times after each feeding. She goes through lots of clothes every day...already a fashionista. For a while she would just scream from about 8 pm until midnight. Jake would take her on lots of drives. She needs a lot of comforting and it can be hard. We got her on some medicine for her acid reflux and it is helping. She is a lot less fussy as well and sleeps tons better. We are so thankful to be getting some sleep finally. Cameron is the sweetest older brother. He just wants to hold her and give her lots of kisses. He also "shares" his toys with her. I find her with his toys on her shoulder or belly all the time and it is the funnies thing. Pictures coming soon!!

We had our sweet little girl on the 27th of September. Her name is TAYLOR ASHLEY RUST, or as my dad tells me, TAR. She arrived at 3:15pm and weighed 7 lbs 4 ozs and was 18.5 inches long. Labor was amazing and much faster than her brother. She is perfectly healthy and he brain looks great. We had a real miracle with her!! She is the picture of health!! She is the sweetest and most well mannered baby. She is a great sleeper and eats great. She is spoiling us. Not complaining though :) Here are some pictures!!!

So the other day i heard a really loud noise that kind of shook the house. I looked out the window and there a car on our front lawn very close to our house. Lucky it didn't hit the house or any children...just our sprinkler system. It was quite the thing for Jake to come home to though :) Cameron thought it was very exciting and always asks if our car is broken. He doesn't want to drive it if it is.

P.S. I have a lot of updating to do...but I'm being induced tomorrow, so pictures to come!!

So I am feeling better and better each day! I am gaining strength back slowly but surely. I have gained all my weight back, plus some. I am just tired and getting bigger. Cameron is going through a crazy stage right now, so that makes it hard for me, because i am slow and have a hard time chasing him. He is going to be a good big brother. He gives my belly hugs all the time and says "baby sister coming."

I think it's weird having pregnancy belly pictures taken. My growing belly is my favorite part of being pregnant though. I also figure I'll like to have these pictures for when I'm older. We will see.

Virginia Fun!

Here are some pictures of Cameron's adventures here in Virginia! He is getting showered with love and attention here. It is fun for him to get to know his Goodson Grandparents better. He sure loves them! Cameron is always outside helping Grandma with yard work and playing with her.

Cameron is Matt's shadow. Matt is learning what it is like to have a little brother. Cameron just adores him. Matt is so sweet with him.

There is a basketball hoop in the driveway and that is of course a big hit with Cameron.

Cameron is enjoying the trampoline as well. He is getting better at jumping every day!

Cameron would just stay on the back porch and watch the ants march in their lines. Then he started smashing them with his finger. FUN!

My parents backyard is like a jungle. Cameron likes to run around in it for hours. He will say, "Chase birds" and then he is off!

Mothers are wonderful

Since it is Mother's Day I thought it fitting to discuss my life lately, which is all about my mom. My mom came to live with us for the month of April. She came out at my request to help out. She did that and more :) She cooked, did laundry, took care of me, cleaned, watched Cameron and I was able to stay in bed. It was so nice to know that everything was being taken care of. It also took a load off of Jake. What an amazing mother and grandmother! I was able to improve dramatically and I give my mom 90% of the credit. 10% to Zofran and IV therapy. If you didn't know I am pregnant and am diagnosed with Hyperemesis gravidarum (basically extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting.

It was so nice to have her taking care of me, that I followed her back to Virginia. Cameron and I are now here with her and the family. My condition has improved so much that I am able to be much more active and am slowly gaining my strength back. I have felt so blessed lately and know it is because of all my friend and families prayers. Thank you!

The Rust Family is going to be adding another member! We are expecting our second child and are very excited. We prayed about it a lot and finally decided it was time...knowing very well what could happen. Unfortunately I am very sick again :( It is harder with a two year old, but luckily Cameron is a pretty good sportabout it all. We comes and gives me multiple kisses and hugs during the day. He tells me "Mom sick" and pretends to throw up with me. He also tells me that I have a baby in my belly and he is going to "tackle baby." That is his way of showing love. We have been blessed in countless ways though. Our ward family has basically been raising Cameron for me!! I am getting a great lesson in the power of service. The sisters who come to watch Cameron are always asking what else they can do. Luckily he is well behaved with all his new friends. It makes it more enjoyable for me knowing he is a joy to be with. I am amazed at his ability to adjust to this time and be so happy to be sent to all these new houses every day. Jake's mom has also been a great help with watching Cameron, meals, and driving me to the doctor. Jake has the added pressure of doing his job and all the things I do. He does it all with a great attitude and still finds time to play with Cameron. What a man!

I also love my docotor and nurses. They take such good care of me and are working hard to find the right medication that will work for me. I asked my doctor if there was a way to find out why I get so sick. He said "No. I was just lucky." I am constantly trying to do my own research on Hyperemesis, but basically I have found the same thing. No one knows why this happens at this time. I am losing weight, but get IV theropy every once in a while if I get too dehydrated. Most importantly, the baby is doing great despite me. This baby is a survivor like Cameron. To keep myself positive, I remind myself that my baby is fine. I would much rather be dying then for my baby to be in trouble.

Update on my attitude. I am trying to stay positive and keep a good perspective. I am doing pretty good. The hardest thing for me is actually letting go of my desire to do "things." When I was pregnant with Cameron I struggled with this as well. This time around I am resting much more. Thanks to all the help, I am able to do this. I throw up a lot less when I am in bed laying down, so that is what I am trying to do! I am learning a lot of humility and feel very close to my savior. I feel blessed to have this trial. I have already done a lot of pondering and soul searching. My first pregnancy was much more depressing, because I didn't handle the trial as well. I am slowly learning to take this trial and grow from it. I am thankful for the strength I have been given by our savior to have more patience and faith to endure during these 14 weeks!

I am 14 weeks along! No pictures. No one needs to see how nasty I am :) Can't wait to meet our baby. Sorry if there are no blog posts or very few for while.

So Ben is now Elder Goodson and at the MTC. He went home to Virginia for Christmas, but we got to see him right before he went into the MTC. We love him so much and know he is going to be a wonderful missionary. We are going to miss him.

We went to I-hop with our last meal with Elder Goodson before we dropped him off at the MTC.

I don't know why Cameron had to have a car in his mouth?! Silly boy.

We did gingerbread houses this year with the family. It is always fun to see our creations. This family is very talented!! Cameron just liked to eat the candy.

So this is a really late post about our Christmas adventures. We had a wonderful holiday. Cameron seemed to understand it more. It is fun to see him growing up. He sure is spoiled and loved! He has the biggest heart and he loves to give hugs and kisses. Especially to his dad! He is now sitting through sacrament meeting and loves nursery! It's a christmas miracle. I didn't get to see my family so that was the only sad thing.

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. My siblings Ben and Steph came and stayed with us and we had a blast. Cameron loves them both so much. Thanks for coming guys. Jake's parents had some people over who weren't going home for thanksgiving from their ward. We had a great time at their place and the food was wonderful! We are so lucky to live so close to them. They are the best!

Cameon likes to play football now. He is always running plays and only with go if we say hike. Hilarious.

We had the radio on and Cameron was dancing up a storm. We had a little dance party!

Cameron has always been a big kid, but recently I can't help but think how big and grown up he looks. He is just running, jumping, and playing like a big boy. He looks like he could be in kindergarden. He is the sweetest boy and I am so lucky to have him for a son. I love this boy. He still loves sports more then ever. Football is his favorite now though. 2 year stats: Weight: 31 lbs 89% Length: 37in 97% He also likes to push the stroller instead of ride in it or the cart when we go to the store. He is my helper boy :)

We went to Corn Belly's before it closed this year. It was kind of cold, but Cameron had a blast. Next year we will have to go when its warmer and not so late at night. It was fun to see him have a good time, even while shivering.

We had a great halloween this year. CAMERON WAS A FOOTBALL PLAYER. Not really a big surprise. Jake and I were nerds. Very fitting I thought :) Cameron did a little trick or treating and it seemed like he had fun. Mostly he wanted to go back to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They were the first house we went to. He enjoyed the candy though. Our ward had a trunk or treat thing but we didn't go...I was sick. LAME! We did go to a halloween party that our friends the Bennetts had. It was so much fun and everyones costumes were amazing.

Cameron is 2! I can hardley believe it. We threw a little party for him and it was tons of fun. Thanks to all our friends and family who came. We really appreciated it. Pictures to come.

Weekend Getaway!

My friend Katie and I got surprised by our husbands with a weekend getaway in park city together. It was the most amazing thing ever! We stayed at the St. Regis Deer Crest Resort. All I can say is wow! We were both so surprised and we had a blast. We got to get massages and relax at a spa in the Resort. I think I said the word "Amazing" more that weekend then I ever had. We felt so fancy and out of place most of the time. We had breakfast brought to us which was much more expensive then we thought. It was a wonderful and relaxing vacation. Basically we have the best husbands in the world! Enjoy the pictures.

You Didn't Guess it!!

So the unthinkable is happening. WE ARE MOVING YET AGAIN!!!!! This will be our SIXTH move I think since we have been married (3 years). This move is completely worth it though. We are moving into a house! When I called my family to tell them I asked my mom to guess what my news was. She said, "You're moving." But she was completely joking. I sure surprised her when I said she was correct. It has been a super busy month. We are packing up again, but we are also fixing up the house before we move. WOW! What a project. I just think of the end result and it keeps me going. The other day we flooding the house a little also. Opps :( I was moping up that mess for a while. We are painting the entire house. We had to wash, spackle, sand, prim, and then tape. The prep work was the hardest. The little things take the longest. It is looking good already! It's amazing what a good coat of new paint can do to a house. We are doing new carpet and laminate throughout the house as well. At least it didn't get wet before we did this :) This is all I think about and try to work on it during Cameron's naps while Jake's mom watches him. We couldn't have done it without his family. They have helped so much. Before and After pictures to come. It will be fun to compare the pictures and see how much we have done.

I have been meaning to put this video on my blog! It was very inspirational and touching to me. It was just what I needed to hear at the time. Being a mother is the most wonderful thing in the world. I have the sweetest boy in the world. I know every mother probably feels that way, but it's true:) It is the hardest thing I have ever done though. I am grateful I can turn to my Father in Heaven for help. I know I sure need it often. I often am at my breaking point as a mother. I love when I can put it all into perspective every once in a while. It makes it easier. I am so grateful for great parents and good friends who are good examples to me of great mothers and fathers. I am especially grateful for a wonderful husband. We have been through a lot of hard times and good times. He is a very patient and loving man. He helps me be more positive and look on the bright side of things, which I am not always the best at. He compliments me in every way. Sure he drives me crazy some times, but the longer I am married the more I fall in love with him. We recently celebrated our 3 year anniversary. A lot has happened in those three years including -- one crazy pregnancy, 5 moves, one baby boy, two graduations, and much more! I can't wait for what the rest of eternity has in store for us.

Thought I would start this post with a picture of the newest cousin -- Andrew. He is a cutie and such a sweet baby. It was great to finally see him and hold him! My sister Marguerite is amazing. He flew out with her two boys all by herself.

August was a busy and fun month. So there was the Farr family reunion in Nevada as I already posted. Also, before that we went to California and I auditioned for American Idol. No I didn't make it. It is nothing like how it is shown on TV, but it was a fun experience. I'm glad i did it! It will be a fun memory I'll always have. I wish I would have brought my camera to the audition, because there were some fun people. Oh well. Also, my family stayed with us after the family reunion in Nevada! They are good sports, because we just have a small two bedroom apartment. They stayed for a while to get my brother all sent off to school. He is going to BYU! It is fun to have him close by! We miss Stephanie since she transfered to BYU-Idaho. Anyway, here are some fun pictures. I have an awesome family. I am so lucky to have such great parents and siblings. They are all amazing. I miss them all the time. I wish we all lived closer together. I am glad we got to be together this summer. I love you guys!!

My beautiful Grandmother: Lucille!!

My mom grew up in a little place called Antelope Valley in Nevada. Most people haven't heard of it, but that is because it is in the middle of nowhere. When we were little, we would go on vacation there for family reunions every year! It was the highlight of the year for us kids. We got to ride horses, ride four-wheelers and motorcycles, play in the dirt, rabbit hunting, hike mountains, and just be with family and play :) This summer we went there for another family reunion and it was just as fun! Cameron had a blast as well. All he wanted to do was ride the four-wheelers. GOOD TIMES! I love my family!! I will put all the pictures on a slideshow soon.

The Rusts last child got married on the 10th of August! They are empty nesters now!! Ashton looked so beautiful and the ceremony was wonderful. It was a great day and really nice weather. Aaron is a great guy and we are so happy for them.

Rust Reunion!

We went to Oregon at the end of July for the Rust Reunion!

It was lots of fun and great to meet a lot of Rusts I've

never met before. We stayed in Wallowa in a cute cabin.

It was by the lake there and it was beautiful.

I love vacations! The only downside was we had

to drive 12 hours to get there :(

and then suddenly we look over and he is in his car seat. He then

wanted us to buckle him in. He sat there watching tv with us like that

I got to go with the Rust/Schultz girls down to St. George last weekend for Jake's cousins Miranda Baby Shower. It was a great girls weekend and so nice and relaxing. I read the Hunger Games which Ashton brought for me and loved it! It was so nice to get away for a weekend. I sure missed my boys though. Also...our blog might not have pictures for a while because I lost the device i use to download pictures to our computer.

This was Cameron's 2nd Fourth of July! We celebrated on Saturday the 3rd. He went to his first movie in a movie theatre and did great. We went with Jake's family. He sat sweet through a lot of it and slept through some also. He would clap and dance during the movie...very cute. His Grandpa Rust (best buds) was there so I think that is why he did so good :) We also had a bbq and watched fireworks at night. Cameron didn't do as good staying up so late, but we did it! Monday we hung out with our friends the Bennetts. We went to the pool, had a bbq, and set off our own fireworks. A great time!!

We recently got back from Arizona and it was so much fun to have a little vacation. The entire Rust family went down for Dan and Amy's son Boston's baby blessing. He is just the cutest little guy and the blessing was so special. It was so nice to see them and Amy's family. They warned us it was hot there, but it was a record breaking HOTT weekend. I love warm weather, but it was even a little too hot for me. I think I would really enjoy Arizona weather for the most part though :) It was nice to just get away and be with family.

Well Jake has made it to his second Father's Day as an actual father!! Hopefully he has many more :) I am so grateful for a wonderful father and mother. Sometimes I still can't believe Jake and I are parents ourselves. We both have a lot to live up to, having such wonderful parents. Jake is a great father already. Cameron is quite a handful, but Jake is great with him. Cameron loves playing with him and always is so excited when his dad comes home. Yea for FATHERS!!!

So even though it hasn't been too warm lately, I am so excited for it to be summer! I haven't done a post for a while because we have been super busy. (Sorry mom and dad) I promise to get more pictures up. I have been slacking at pictures lately. I am still babysitting the two children who live in the house where we rent out the basement. It has been fun, but crazy. The little girl Lizzie and Cameron have become good friends. I have become really attached to the kids as well. We are going to be moving at the end of May (this month!) and I won't be babysitting anymore. I will miss them. They are such sweet kids and I have loved being able to watch them. Lizzie picks up my outfit pretty much every morning. She and I have to be "matching" most days which in fun. She also loves pink and i don't really have a lot so that has been the only problem. It is sad to say but a 4 year old is better at putting a wardrobe together than I am.

Cameron had his 18 month check up and is doing great. He was very traumatized by the immunizations though. He is still a big boy! Here are his stats:

HEAD: 19 in (64%)

WEIGHT: 28.25 lbs (85%)

LENGTH: 34.75 (97%)

I can't believe has fast time in flying by. I definitely can't believe I have an eighteen month old. Every day he still amazes me with his development and new things he does. He loves to make Jake and I laugh. He is in a momma's boy stage. He loves just snuggling with me. I love it! He also has some pretty fantastic tantrums. I need to catch one on video and post it.

We are also moving like I mentioned above! We have been trying to buy a house for what seems like forever. We have been praying and fasting about it and it just wasn't the right time for us. Jake was pretty bummed at first, but I was excited! Jake is too now! We are just going to be renters for a while. This time no strings attached though :) No more storage units or babysitting. We have been packing like crazy and doing trips over to our new place. We might live at our new place for more than a few months. I am so excited!!!

Wedding Weekend

So I got to go to my cousin Luke's Wedding a few weekends ago. Jake and Cameron stayed home because Jake had to work. Steph, Michael, Matthew and I all drove to Colorado together for the wedding. It was so much fun. It was nice to have a fun, relaxing weekend away from my stresses. I sure missed my boys though...Cameron especially. I have never been away from him that long. I loved being with family. I miss Steph since she transferred to BYU Idaho. When we get together it is always exciting. We just laughed and laughed the entire time!!!

This post is going to be really random and cover a lot of time. I haven't posted for a while. Trying to catch up. Sometimes i just can't find the motivation to do it. We are loving our new basement apartment, even though it is temporary (the house is being sold). We hope to have a more permanent place soon!! Cameron is growing and growing. Every day he still amazes me with his new developments. The biggest one lately is going DOWN the stairs by himself. It gives me much more peace of mind. He isn't talking yet but he understands really well now pretty much everything he says.

Well here we go!!!

So Cameron just got his first hair cut!!! It was quite the ordeal.

He had to sit on my lap and did not enjoy it at all! We did not time it very well because it was nap time. He got a sucker and that helped a lot though :) He looks so grown up with his hair cut. I love it!! He is no longer a bald boy.

Christmas has come and gone and I can't believe how fast it went. We had a great holiday with tons of stuff happening. We found a place to live for the moment!! We are living in a basement apartment. We love it and it is wonderful to have a place of our own. We are finally moved in which took a while because all our stuff was in storage and brought it to our place in trips slowly. We got a lot done before Christmas and yesterday i did the final load from the storage unit!

We got to have Christmas with both families again this year! We feel very lucky to be able to see my family as much as we do. We decided to fly to Virginia for Christmas again to see them because we probably won't do it very often as our family grows. We sure love them and it was great to be with family for the Christmas season. I really miss my family sometimes, so it was amazing! I wish flying was not so expensive though :) We played a lot of games and Beatles Rock Band. Tons of fun!!! We also got family pictures done which is great. It is going to be hard to keep up though as more and more kids come and new spouses. Cameron and Bradley are pretty much the same size, but a year apart. They are so cute together. Bradley is a very sweet older cousin and took good care of Cameron. He would always say "baby" when I put Cameron down for a nap because he wanted to see him. Bradley liked opening and closing doors and Cameron liked vacuuming. They are a good team. Christmas is so much fun with little ones.

Cameron just recently got his one year old pictures done. A friend of Ashton's did it (Tiffany Carter) and she is amazing! She just does it out of her house. So Cameron has turned ONE YEAR OLD! I don't know where the time has gone. Since we are living with Jake's parents, we decided to just do a family party. Cameron's Great-Grandpa's birthday is on the 3rd of November so they had a combined party. Cameron's is on the 4th of November. Cameron got way too many presents :) He actually seemed to enjoy opening them. He also got a fire engine truck cake which i spent too much time making. It turned out pretty good though. All in all he seemed to have a great birthday. He also had his year check-up at the doctor and is still huge. He is 33 inches and 25 lbs. He is off the charts!!! He is walking everywhere now and getting hair. He is starting to look like a little boy. He is no longer my little baby :( He amazes me more and more everyday with his development and personality. He is the sweetest boy.

Cameron had a great first halloween! It would have been his second one if he would have been born on his due date. Anyway, for his costume, he was a pumpkin and was adorable. Jake's work had a party and we all went. Cameron won the prize for funniest costume and got a lollipop. We didn't go trick-or-treating, but we knew Cameron really wouldn't appreciate it. He would just want the candy. We gave him some and he loved it!!

Cameron has finally started walking!!! He has been walking holding onto things for a while, but he wouldn't really take more than a few steps by himself. He finally started doing it and he laughs so hard every time he does. Very cute.

He also loves turning on the radio and then start dancing. Basically anytime music comes on he stops what he is doing and dances. Even if it is a commercial. It is so funny!

For those of you who can't get enough pictures of Cameron, you are in luck. Here are a whole bunch from the past few months. Some of Cameron's favorite things to do are pull DVD's out of their spot, push buttons on the T.V. and anything really, push the stroller around, pick flowers, and pull silver ware out of the dishwasher. He also is really into helping me with laundry. It is so cute. He gets so focused and will put all the clothes into the basket for me. He recently had his first head bump :( He was walking around the coffee table and fell. He cut his sweet forehead. He wore a band-aid on his head for a few days. He was very tough!

New Car

So we recently purchased a car! It is so nice to have a car because I am not working right now so I can get out of the house and run errands and stuff like that. We did our research and we found a keeper and got a great deal on it. We got a 2007 Hyundai Sonata....it is awesome! It runs so nice and gets great gas mileage. It also has A.C. that works :) I feel so spoiled. Every day I look at it and think to myself, "Nice car - oh wait, that's mine!" I love it!

He has now joined the full time work force :) It is so nice for him to be done with school. Also, Dan and Amy were moving to Arizona so we wanted to see as much of them as we could before they left.

General Conference (Oct '09)

General Conference! What a great weekend of inspirational talks. I always want to be and do so much better after this wonderful weekend. It was also our first conference with Cameron however :) He certainly makes it a lot harder to pay attention. We pulled out all the stops though to keep him quiet and entertained. He took good naps through out as well. What a sweet boy! There seemed to me to be a theme of service and love. Of course that is always the message, but I was really touched this conference. Maybe it is because I need to work on improving my service and love. I always feel like some talks are written just for me. It shows me how inspired these men and women are. Elder Bednar's talk (MORE DILIGENT AND CONCERNED AT HOME) really made me want to make sure I focus my love and service in my own home. I need to say "I love you" more to my sweet husband especially.

Elder Clayton's talk (THAT YOUR BURDENS MAY BE LIGHT) touched me so much I wanted to paste a segment from his talk on our blog:

No matter the burdens we face in life as a consequence of natural conditions, the misconduct of others, or our own mistakes and shortcomings, we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father, who sent us to earth as part of His eternal plan for our growth and progress. Our unique individual experiences can help us prepare to return to Him. The adversity and afflictions that are ours, however difficult to bear, last, from heaven’s perspective, for “but a small moment; and then, if [we] endure it well, God shall exalt [us] on high.” We must do everything we can to bear our burdens “well” for however long our “small moment” carrying them lasts.

Burdens provide opportunities to practice virtues that contribute to eventual perfection. They invite us to yield “to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and [put] off the natural man and [become] a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and [become] as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon [us], even as a child doth submit to his father.” Thus burdens become blessings, though often such blessings are well disguised and may require time, effort, and faith to accept and understand.

Long time no Posting!

So I haven't updated our blog for a long long time. Some exciting things have actually happened in our lives. For starters, Jake and I had our 2 year Anniversary! I can't believe how much our lives have changed and how fast it has gone. We have sure been through a lot and we have grown from it. I love my sweet husband Jake. He is the best husband ever!

We also went to yellowstone for our family reunion this summer and it was amazing. My dad used to be a tour guide in the summer during his college years, so he gave us the grand tour. It was fun to hear all his little stories and insight he had about the park. We got to see lots of animals... no bears though. Cameron loved it and was such a trooper. He didn't get the best naps on the go, but was so sweet. Him and Bradley (my sister's boy) were so cute together. They are about the same size, but Cameron is quite a bit younger. Those two are going to be heartbreakers. There are too many pictures to post, so i did a slide show (located to the right) of ALL the pictures from our travels. It was sure fun to see my family and have a break from work. We don't get to see them much at all so it was amazing. I have to best family in the world! After Yellowstone, Jake was a sweetheart and came home to run the storage units so Cameron and I could go to Nevada for the Farr family reunion. All in all...August was amazing!

Another wonderful update is that I am no longer working at the storage units!!!!! It is the most amazing thing ever. It was a great place for us to save money and get through school, but I was ready to get out! We have been there for about two years. I won't list all the reasons I was ready to leave, but take my word for it.... there are a lot. I am so happy to just be able to spend time with Cameron. Cameron is enough work, I don't need another job to do at the same time :) Cameron is loving it to. We have been going on many walks in the stroller every day. It is starting to get colder, so they have slowed down. I have been loving the walks as well. It is so nice to just get out of the house and be outside!! Basically, if you couldn't already tell, I have been loving no being at the storage units. We are living with Jake's parents for the moment until we can figure out our next move. They are amazing for letting us stay with them and we love them tons. We have been house hunting as I posted a while ago, but we are having a hard time with the loan because they are strict with commission jobs (which is what Jake's is). We will be renting for a while most likely.

Ward Split

So our ward split last Sunday! Our ward was getting really big. When I was in the nursery we had over 20 kids almost every sunday. The primary was A LOT bigger. We love our ward and have enjoyed getting to know everyone, even though it is hard to keep up with such a fast growing ward. We were in the Lindon 16th ward and are now in the Lindon 23rd ward. We still have the same bishop though, which is cool. We might not be in this ward very much longer either though if our house hunting is successful. I feel like whenever we start getting to know people in our ward and make friends we move. Oh well, that's life. We have been so happy to be in our ward as long as we have been!

CAMERON CRAWLS!

So Cameron has been rolling around and doing the army crawl for quite a while. On July 5th however, he started to crawl. We were at church, but luckily we brought the camera and I was able to capture a little of it. Don't worry, the meeting hadn't started yet. He is just crawling around like crazy now and lifting himself up all over the place. I really have to watch him close. It is so fun to see him move around so fast and have fun getting into things. He keeps our house pretty messy!

Fourth of July!

We spent the Fourth of July with my cousin Loren and his wife Jessica. We went to their new house they just bought, which is very cute! Cameron had a blast discovering a new place. Jessica's sister Megan and her husband also came. Loren grilled all sorts of meat on his new grill and it was amazing. I helped Jess pick out paint for their house as well as some other household needs. While we did this, the boys played the Wii. It was fun to get out and not have to work. We didn't get to see the fireworks because Cameron was ready for bed. We saw them in the car on our way home. I am so grateful for our country and the freedoms we enjoy. What a fun day!

So I just wanted to create a post about my sweet husband Jake. He works so hard for our family and is the sweetest husband and father. Cameron loves his dad so much! Whenever Jake gets home Cameron kicks and waves his arms while squealing with delight. Jake's birthday was on June 12th and he is now 25! I can't believe it. He got a blackberry for his birthday which he has been wanting for a long time. It will be great to use for work and it is just awesome. I don't tell him enough how much i appreciate him, but he is wonderful. I love you!!

So I was a big Kelly Clarkson fan back in the day and still like her music a lot. Her most recent CD came out recently and she is on tour. For my birthday Jake surprised me and got me tickets to one of her concerts here in Utah. I was so surprised :) He was a good sport and came with me. Jake's mom watched Cameron and we had a blast!!! The concert was outside at the Utah Valley University. SHE IS AMAZING LIVE!!! Jake got us VIP seats so we were front row and center. We also had a dinner, got her CD and a t-shirt. Jake is always so thoughtful and sweet with his gifts.

House Hunting!

Since January of 2008 I have been managing a storage unit complex in Lindon, Utah. We are both ready to move on however! It has been good while we both finished up school, and a financial blessing, but we are DONE! Jake finished school in JUNE...YEA! Now he is working with North Western Mutual full time. I am ready to be able to have more time to spend with Cameron without having to work from home. We have been looking around for a home since interest rates are so good and it's a buyer's market. Jake's mom is a realtor and has been helping us out big time. She is amazing! We are trying to get a duplex or a house with a rentable basement so we can rent it out. We found one that was a fixer upper and made an offer. It took the bank a really long time to get back to us. They finally got back to us with a counter offer, but we weren't under contract any more. This worked out great because we found another duplex that we like and wasn't as much work, so we made another offer. We are just waiting to hear back now. It feels like forever waiting. Here's hoping!

Jake is still busy trying to finish up school (graduates in June...YEA!) and I am still managing the storage unit complex. :( Cameron is our biggest joy and the most exciting part of our lives (we are boring right now). Being in the house by the storage units keeps me in the house because i work all day. I can't wait till we move and I can do more stuff outside and have friends. Cameron makes us laugh so much. He is getting his first tooth and is doing great with this milestone. It seems to bother him a little but he is really tough. I am not ready for him to crawl yet (our house is not baby proofed at all) but he is already getting up into the crawl position. Who knows!? I thought I would just post some random pictures.

I can't believe that Cameron is 27 weeks old as of yesterday! He is a week away from being 7 months old. That just blows my mind. Time sure has flown by.... it seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. We recently went for a check up at the doctor and he still is growing. He just gets bigger and bigger each day. Here are his stats: Head Circumference (18 in -- 92%tile). Weight (20.11 lb -- 87%tile). Length (28.5 in -- 96%tile). He has been rolling been rolling around for a while now. He can also sit up all by himself now. He is so strong!! I am just amazed at him everyday all the new things he does. It is the best!

Having my first mother's day actually being a mom was wonderful. Cameron is so amazing and brings so much joy to my life. Being a mom is the most amazing thing in the world. Jake made it a special day for me. He gave me some beautiful tulips and took care of Cameron while I slept in. It was a great day!

What a great season Easter is! It is a great time to remember our Savior Jesus Christ. General Conference was such an inspiration and motivator for me. All the talks seemed made just for

me. I am sure everyone feels that way, which shows how inspired the apostles are. I loved Elder Holland's talk on the Savior especially. It gave me some new insight into the atonement of our Savior. He described the Savior's solitary journey to overcome sin and death and testified of the resulting blessings to all mankind. At the end of his talk to asked for us not to leave the Savior alone like he was on the cross. He is here for all of us... all we have to do is to come unto Him. The talk gave me an even greater appreciation for the atonement and what a miraculous thing it is.

For Easter we went over to our Grandparents and had dinner together and did a little egg hunt. We also fasted that Sunday. I haven't done so for so long because of the pregnancy and then the breastfeeding. I felt really sick and was wondering why, and then it hit me...I hadn't fasted for a long time and it was taking a toll on me. Anyway, it was such a great Easter Sunday and the family was excited to see Cameron as usually.

At Kolob Canyons

So went on a road trip to St. George recently for a weekend. It was so fun to get away from the storage units for a while. Jake's foster sister Minta was getting her endowments out and we decided to go down and make a fun weekend out of it. We had so fun and it was beautiful WARM weather. I don't like being cold. I think I have really bad circulation, because I get cold really easily. We went to the pool, went bowling, and just relaxed. It was nice not to have to worry about anything and just chill. I really needed it and Cameron did really well. He loves riding in the car. He was an amazing road tripper. We also stopped by Kolob Canyons on our way home!

So it has been quite a while since I have updated our blog. I decided it is was time for a mega update!!! Good thing our lives aren't that interesting.

We celebrated my birthday which was March 8th. It was a great birthday thanks to friends, family, and of course my wonderful husband Jake. I got a sweet Mac computer which I absolutely love and Jake got me Kelly Clarkson tickets. She is definately the best american idol in my opinion with Carrie Underwood as a close second. I didn't like her last album as much, but I know I will love the concert. Anyway I am 23 years old now and it is my unstoppable year (Michael Jordan's number of course) so I expect great things this year!!!

Cameron is growing like a weed and at his four month check-up was in the 90th percentile for weight and the 98th for height. He is our little football player. I love him so much and it is so fun to watch him grow and develop each day. He is now rolling and sitting up pretty good by himself. He is such a special boy! I feel blessed to have the privilege to be his mom. I didn't think I would ever love someone so fast and powerfully, but I loved Cameron from the second I saw him! Being a parent is the most amazing and rewarding job in the world. He gets so excited when Dad comes home and can't stop cooing. It is cute to see him recognize his parents more and more.

Cameron has been laughing for a while now and I've been trying to get a video of it. I finally was able to grab the camera fast enough. He laughs at the most random times and I love it. This time I had moved his changing pad and he thought it was hilarious. I would turn him with it and he laughed again. I sound silly on the video because I always make weird sounds when I am talking to him. He is such a happy and sweet baby.

We found out the other day that our cute little chubbalub is in the 90th percentile in head size, weight, and length. Wow! Good work little man. He is going to be a "baller" in no time.

We are so happy to have him in our life. He makes us happy and we are excited to see what other things he will do in the coming months. He loves going over to Grandma and Grandpa Rust's house. In January we had a our first date without him which was weird, but awesome thanks to them. We went out to Chilli's and had a blast. It was hard not to think about him though and to be honest I couldn't wait to get back home to him. We will probably get better at leaving him soon.
He is also still sleeping like a champ as well. He goes to bed at about 9 pm and wakes up at about 7am. He takes pretty good naps as well. We feel very spoiled to get so much sleep. He makes our lives so much better and makes us want to be better. We love him so much!

We went to Virginia this year for Christmas with my family!! We didn't think we would be able to because of work, but then we were able to get off work after all. We decided to not tell my family and surprise them by just showing up. We told my sister Marguerite and her husband Mike so they could pick us up at the airport. Cameron did really well on the plane...he didn't cry at all and his ears didn't seem to hurt him. He did have what I like to call a poop explosion in the airport though which was exciting.

My family was so surprised when we showed up at the house!!! It was fun to see their reactions. My grandma Farr was there with my family as well. It was a great Christmas break and fun to have the entire family all together. We went to the Washington D.C. Temple at night and it was beautiful with all the lights up. We also went to Arlington and saw all the graves and the changing of the guard. We mostly just hung out though playing games and eating good food. It was everyone's first time seeing Cameron except for mom, grandma, and Steph. They enjoyed holding him and commenting on how big he was. As my dad said, "Best Christmas ever!" I feel so blessed to have been able to see my wonderful family for Christmas. They are the "best family ever!"

I thought I would post a few pictures of Cameron. I can't believe he is 6 weeks old already. The time has flown by and I just love being a mom! He is getting so big...he is growing and growing. He amazes me with how strong he is as well. He can sit up on the couch and when i put him on his belly he can lift his head and back up so far. I just love spending my days with him...he is so sweet. He is starting to react to me more as well. When I talk in a high voice or pick him up from his nap he smiles...I love it! He also is such a good sleeper...I got the book Baby Wise and it has helped me so much. He sleeps really good through the night already and in his crib! I feel so blessed to have him in our family and I can't wait for the many adventures ahead of us.

We had our first Thanksgiving with our sweet son Cameron! We spent it with Jake's family and it was a great day. We had tons of delicious food and played games afterward. Cameron was the center of attention as usual. He loves being around people and was really sweet. He has been kind of fussy lately, so I was glad he was not crying the whole time. Stephanie came down from Idaho and is spending the week with us. It has been wonderful to have her here with us. Cameron loves when she holds him! It has been nice to have some time off and just relax. Jake and I are a little sleep deprived, so it has been nice to be able to sleep a little more in the mornings and not have to get up for school or work. I definately don't appreciate all that we have been blessed with as much as I should -- so it is a great time to remember all that we have to be thankful for.

These are pictures from the day before I went into labor!!

Our son Cameron Jacob Rust has finally been born!!! After about 12 hours of labor he was born on November 4th at 12:27pm. He was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 8 lbs 2 ozs. After having kind of a rough pregnany, it is amazing to finally have him here with us. As soon as he was born I was so incredibly happy. I forgot almost instantly how painful it had been and also how sick I was. I can now enjoy food, kiss my husband, and all sorts of wonderful things.
Cameron is just the sweetest baby in the world. He sleeps so good and is feeding beautifully as well. I feel very blessed and spoiled. We are both just a little sleep deprived. The only thing that we had to get checked was his bilirubun count (for jaudice). It was a little high when we left the hospital but it was normal after he was checked two days later.
He has already grown and is now 22 inches. He was discharged from the hospital at 7 lbs 9 ozs and now is 7 lbs 13 ozs. He looks so long and skinny. He also got his circumcision and he didn't even cry. His pediatrician was very impressed. He is as healthy as can be and it is so fun to actually have him here with us. I can just look at him forever...I spend a lot of time doing that. I feel so blessed to have a healthy baby with no problems. It is an added bonus that he is also a very calm and sweet baby.
My mom is here to help for two weeks and she has been a life saver. She cooks our meals, cleans, does laundry, and helps with the night shifts...so basically she does it all. I will sure miss her when she is gone. Love ya mom!

The Belly (37 Weeks)

So I still haven't had this baby!! He is just way too comfortable in my belly. We finished our lamaze classes as well as the baby room. Just playing the waiting game now. I am getting quite anxious, so I am trying not to think about it because when I do, the days go by really slow. I am measuring a little small, but when the doctor did an ultra-sound everything was fine with the amniotic fluid...he is just really low and not very big. My due date was moved up 9 days but he didn't come. I am now a day away from the original due date!!! Bottom line: I am ready to have our son!!

So we finally had the baby shower!! It was such a great shower that Tracie and Ashton put together. The food was great and the company even better. It was fun to see some friends I haven't seen for a while. Our little guy got soooo much stuff. He is going to be one good dressed kid. He is going to be embarrassed to be seen with his mommy with my spit up outfits. We got a stroller and carseat as well as a swing, which we are pretty sure we will be using a lot...Jake and I both loved to swing when we were little. Anyway, we feel so blessed to have gotten so many nice things. It got me even more excited to have our little guy. I can't believe how fast the pregnancy has flown by.

So school has begun again!! The summer seems to have flown by. September 2nd was the first day of BYU for Jake. It feels so weird not to be going to classes. It is awesome to have no homework though! Jake has already had quite a load already in that department. I thought now would be a good time to recap some things from the past month. On the 23rd of August we had a fun day in Park City as a family. The boys went golfing and the girls went shopping. We ended up getting baby clothes :) Then we met up and had dinner at the Baja Cantina! The food there is amazing! After our bellies were full we all went down the Alpine Slides (except me)... I didn't want to go pregnant just in case something happened. Since I am extremely accident prone, I thought it would be best. Turns out Jake decided to be the one to get hurt since I couldn't. He fell off the slide as he was racing Dan down the hill.

Jake also put together a mission reunion on the 30th which turned out great! It was a BBQ and quite a few people showed. It was good for Jake to see everyone from the mission again. That day we also went to the first BYU football game!! It was a really hot day, but a pretty good game, minus all the turn overs. I couldn't make it through the entire game because I was getting too overheated, so we watched the rest of it on tv with air conditioning. GO BYU!

I can't believe it has already been a year! To celebrate we went to the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake. It is a place that has themed rooms. We got the Sultan's Palace. Jake made it a surprise. He is romantic like that. It was really nice...made us feel like royalty. We got breakfast delivered to our room in the morning which was awesome. I sure could get used to that:) It was so wonderful to just have a relaxing weekend together.

I thought it was about time to post some belly pictures. It will be fun to keep track of the progress so I can remember. My belly has been growing steadily. It is crazy how fast it seemed to happen. My growing belly is slowing me down a bit, but I love it. It is much better than being sick. My legs ache a lot and Jake is a good sport and massages them a lot! I just try and take it easy most of the day, because I get tired very easily.

I recently had my first ultra-sound and found out we are having a BOY! He is healthy and very active. He was so funny during the ultra-sound -- fliping and moving all over the place. He even sucked his thumb for us. I tried to get the ultra-sound pictures on our blog, but they weren't very clear. It was such a wonderful experience for Jake and I to see our little baby. It made it so much more real. Now we can start really thinking of names! I have also found myself constantly looking at babies clothes, toys, cribs, etc that we will be needing soon. We are getting sooo excited!!

I thought it was about time to start a blog. Some updates on the Rust family:

Ashley just graduated from Brigham Young University in April!

Jake has an internship this summer with North Western.

We are also expecting a baby and the due date is October 30th. We are so excited and feel so blessed to be able to have the oportunity to be parents soon. I am glad to be done with school so I can focus on being pregnant. I have been dealing with the wonders of morning sickness as well. Not so fun. I am just glad I don't have any more papers to write.
